RESOLUTION 08-188
APPROVING AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FEDERAL AID
AGREEMENT FOR A NON-PRIMARY HIGHWAY PROJECT (10STH STREET/ALICE'S
ROAD 1-80 INTERCHANGE)
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORITYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,in February 2005,the cities of Waukee and West Des Moines entered into a
Federal Aid Agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for the administration of
federal funds related to the construction of the 105'h Street/Alice's Road 1-80 Interchange
(Agreement Number 2005-16-083;City of Waukee Resolution #05-37);AND,
WHEREAS,because the scope of the project has changed from an interchange to an overpass,a
new Federal Aid Agreement is necessary;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,as lead agency,and the City of West Des Moines,as a
recipient of federal funding,have negotiated a new agreement with the Iowa Department of
Transportation;AND,
WHEREAS,approval of the agreement is necessary for receipt of the federal funding and is in
the best interest ofthe City of Waukee;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this 4th day of August 2008 that the Iowa Department of Transportation Federal Aid Agreement
for a Non-Primary Highway Project (105'11Street/Alice's Road 1-80 Interchange)is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Waukee is authorized to sign the
Agreement and the City Administrator/Clerk is directed to attest to the signature of the Mayor,
after which the Agreement shall be filed with the appropriate agencies.
