RESOLUTION 05-149
APPROVING 28E AGREEMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTING AND EMERGENCY
MEDICAL SERVICES BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
AND BOONE TOWNSHIP,DALLAS COUNTY,IOWA BEGINNING IN FISCAL
YEAR JULY I,2005 AND ENDING JUNE 30,2006
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORiTY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee and Boone Township signed a 28E Agreement in June
of 1997 to formalize the provision of fire fighting and first responder services being
provided by the City of Waukee to residents living in Boone Township except those
residents living in Sections 1 through 30.AND,
'WHEREAS,In the summer of2005,the City of Waukee and Boone Township have
come together to formally renew the agreement as revised for Waukee to provide fire
fighting and emergency medical services to Boone Township;AND,
WHEREAS,since both parties find this agreement mutually beneficial,City staff
recommends approving the 28E Agreement with Boone Township for the City of
Waukee's provision of fire fighting and emergency medical services and Township of
Boone's payment for said services at the rate of $0.6075 per $1,000 of taxable valuation
for the Fiscal Year 2006.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 15th day of August 2005 that it hereby approves the 28E Agreement for Fire
Fighting and Emergency Medical Services by and between the City of Waukee,Iowa and
Boone Township,Dallas County,Iowa beginning in FY06.
