RESOLUTION 05-147
APPROVING PAYMENT OF RETAINAGE TO WEIDNER CONSTRUCTION INC.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,The Improvements for the Lift Station #2 and Generators were accepted by the
City of Waukee on June 28,2005;AND,
WHEREAS,all contract documents including proof of satisfaction of all taxes and all liens have
been submitted;AND,
WHEREAS,the State ofIowa Code,§573.l3 and §573.l4 state that funds not exceeding 5%of
the contract price shall be withheld from payment and shall be retained for thirty days beyond the
date of final acceptance of the improvement;so that funds will be available for the payment of
claims for materials furnished and labor performed on the improvements;AND,
WHEREAS,City Engineering Technician Brad Freeman recommends payment of retain age in
the amount of$19,275.70.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
15th day of August 2005 that it hereby approves payment of retain age to Weidner Construction,
Inc.in the amount of$19,275.70.I
