RESOLUTION 05-148
APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF DAN DUTCHER TO THE PLANNING &ZONING
COMMISSION TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF ERIC KORPANTY,WHO
MOVED FROM THE COMMUNITY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Dan Dutcher submitted his letter of interest and resume for appointment to the
Planning &Zoning Commission November of2004;AND,
WHEREAS,review ofMr.Dutcher's credentials and work experience suggest he is very
qualified to serve on the Planning &Zoning Commission;AND,
WHEREAS,a few such qualifications identified in the letter and resume include:
1.Extensive knowledge of city codes,commercial design and construction
2.Constructed homes for five years
3.With Principal Financial Group Commercial Real Estate Dept.for 12 years
4.With R&R Development Services Corp since 1989
5.Has development,financing,marketing and negotiating skills
6.Has knowledge and experience with re-zoning issues,annexations,political
process
WHEREAS,Dan Dutcher is recommended by Mayor Oberman and Council member Jeff Mertz
to fill the unexpired term of Eric Korpanty.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
15th day of August 2005 that it hereby approves appointment of Dan Dutcher to serve as a
Planning &Zarling Commissioner for the term ending December 31,2008.
