RESOLUTION 08-198
ESTABLISHING FEES AND CHARGES FOR USE OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
COMMUNITY CENTER(S)
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee maintains community center(s)for use by the public;AND,
WHEREAS,there are ongoing associated with administration,maintenance and operation of the
City's community center(s);AND,
WHEREAS,it is desirable to mitigate the expenses incurred by the City while at the same time
assuring access to the facilities by the general public;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee is desirous of establishing fees and charges
for the use of Waukee community center(s).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
that the fees and charges for the use ofthe City's community center(s)shall be as follows:

Weekday -Full Day $240 $340
Half Day $120 $240
Per Hour $40 $80
Weekend -Full Day $240 $340
Half Day $120 $240
Per Hour $40 $80
Deposit $150 $300
An applicant must execute a form of agreement and contract prior to use.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that fees for use of the
City's community center(s)shall not be charged under the following conditions:
1)The applicant is a 501(c)(3)corporation duly formed and existing pursuant to the
State of Iowa which maintains its principal place of business in the City of
Waukee,Iowa;or
2)The applicant is a Waukee senior gTOUp(members age 62 or greater)consisting of
no less than 20 members who are residents of the City of Waukee.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that fundraising is not
authorized in any form during the use of the community center(s)in the event a fee exemption is
sought or received unless said event is sponsored by the City of Waukee.All qualified
applicants who seek a fee exemption must certify that no fundraising or contributions of any type
will be solicited in any way on the premises and shall assure said activity is not undertaken.In
the event fees or contribution are solicited or secured by applicant,the applicant agrees to pay
the fee for normal usage together with attorneys fees associated with the pursuit of compliance of
this paragraph.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that all resolutions or
parts of resolutions in conflict with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 18th day of
August,2008.
