RESOLUTION 08-194
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF A SECOND ALTERNATE
MEMBER FOR THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION (MPO)TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
FOR THE YEAR 2008
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the
Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation
Technical Connnittee (MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,City staffrequest that a second alternate representative be appointed to the
MPO TTC so that the City can maintain the authority to vote on MPO TCC matters in the
event the primary and alternate representatives are unavailable;AND,
WHEREAS,for the remainder of calendar year 200S,Mayor William F.Peard has appointed
City Planner Ben Landhauser as the second alternate representative to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this lSth day of August 200S,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointment to the Des
Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Technical Committee.
