RESOLUTION 08-190
APPROVING,PURSUANT TO IOWA CODE §364.12(2)(a),THE TEMPORARY
CLOSING OF SE SAGEWOOD CIRCLE FROM SE WACO PLACE EAST AND
NORTH TO SE LAUREL AVENUE ON SATURDAY,AUGUST 30,2008 BETWEEN
THE HOURS OF 5:00 P.M.AND 10:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Brian Kelting,545 SE Sagewood Cir.,requests the temporary closure of SE
Sagewood Circle from SE Waco Place east and north to SE Laurel Avenue for the purpose of a
neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,the street will be closed between the hours of 5 :00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m.on
Saturday,August 30,2008;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
18th day of August 2008 that it hereby approves the temporary closing of SE Sagewood Circle
from SE Waco Place east and north to SE Laurel Avenue on Saturday,August 30,2008 between
the hours of 5:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m.for the purpose of a neighborhood block party.
