APPROVING VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.PROPOSAL FOR ENGINEERING
STUDY:SUGAR CREEK BASIN,SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM PLANNING
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.are proposing to provide the City of Waukee with a
sewer study which covers an area of approximately 15 square miles that extends one mile
north of Hickman Road to Y,mile south of Interstate 80 and from R-22,westerly to the
ridge line between the Sugar Creek drainage basin and the North Raccoon River drainage
basin;AND,
WHEREAS,The study when completed by Veenstra &Kinnn,Inc.will
1.produce an exhibit showing the location and size of proposed trunk sewers
2.produce an exhibit showing the population densities which were used in
calculating the trunk sewer and branch line required sizing;AND,
WHEREAS,the cost of the study is to be billed at lump sum fee of $4,000;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommend approving the engineering study for the purposes of
mapping trunk sewer and branch lines in the study area,I
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 29th day of August 2005 that it hereby approves Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.
proposal for engineering study:Sugar Creek Basin,Sanitary Sewer System Planning.
