Approving the order of detailed plans and specifications,notice of hearing,
notice to bidders and fOnTISof contract for the 2008 Sanitary Sewer Lining
Project and setting September 16,2008,at 2:00 p.m.in the office of the
City of Urbandale City Engineer,3600 86th St,Urbandale,IA 50322,as
the date,time and location for receipt of bids therefore,and setting
September 22,2008 at 7:00 p.m.,Waukee City Hall,230 Highway 6,
Wankee,Iowa 50263 as the date,time and location for a pnblic hearing
thereon
WHEREAS,this Council has approved the 2008 Sanitary Sewer Lining Program;
and
WHEREAS,detailed plans,specifications,notice of hearing and notice to bidders
and form of contract have been prepared and filed by City of Urbandale Engineering
Division for such project and have been examined by this Council;and
NOW,THEREFORE,Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa,as follows:

WHEREAS,it is necessary to fix a time and place of public hearing on the
proposed project,fOnTIof contract,estimate of cost and to advertise for sealed bids for
the 2008 Sanitary Sewer Lining Program.
Section 1.The detailed plans and specifications,notice of hearing and notice
to bidders and form of contract and estimate of cost referred to in the preamble hereof are
hereby approved.
Section 2.The amount of the bid security to accompany each bid is hereby
fixed at 10%ofthe amount of the proposal.
Section 3.The City Council hereby delegates to the City Engineer of
Urbandale,Iowa the duty of receiving,opening and tabulating the bids for the
construction of the Project,on the sixteenth (16th)day of September,2008,at 2:00
o'clock p.m.,at the office of the City Engineer at the 3600 86th Street,Urbandale,Iowa
50322.The twenty-second (22nd)day of September,2008 at 7:00 o'clock p.m.,at the
Council Chambers,City Hall,Waukee,Iowa,is hereby fixed as the time and place of
hearing on the proposed plans,specifications,form of contract and estimate of cost for
the 2008 Sanitary Sewer Lining Program,and also as the time and place of considering
bids received by the Urbandale City Clerk in connection therewith.
Section 4.The Waukee City Clerk shall publish notice of hearing and notice
to bidders,the same being in the form hereinabove approved and substantially as attached
to this resolution,which publication shall be made in a legal newspaper of general I
circulation in the City,which publication shall be not less than 4 days nor more than 20
days before the date set for hearing and receiving such bids.
Section 5.All resolutions or parts of resolutions III conflict herewith are
hereby repealed,to the extent of such conflict.
