RESOLUTION 05-166 I
WAIVING PERMIT FEES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
STADIUM RESTROOM AND CONCESSION STAND
FOR THE WAUKEE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Planning for the construction ofthe stadium restroom and concession stand
began before May 2004 and construction began in June 2005;AND,
WHEREAS,during a meeting on July 7,2004 between the School and the City at which
John Gibson,Mark Arentsen,Veronica Stalker and Dave Wilkerson were present,a
proposed agreement was reached which would ensure construction of the parking lot curb
and gutter along 5th street at the Waukee Elementary School and which would result in
the waiving'of the City's Permit Fee for the construction of the Waukee Stadium
Restroom and Concession Stand;AND,
WHEREAS,in an activity report memo dated July 16,2004,the subject of which was
the above mentioned July 7,2004 meeting,Mark J.Arentsen mentions the proposed
waiver;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Council during a council meeting discussion item on August 16,
2004,during which Dave Wilkerson was present the Council determined that good cause
existed to waive Permit Fees for the construction of the Stadium Restroom and
Concession Stand,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 12th day of September 2005 that it hereby officially waives $7,814.16 of the
permit fees for the construction of the Stadium Restroom and Concession Stand.
