APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF JEFF MERTZ,DARLENE STANTON AND
ALTERNATE NICK GRUBER TO THE CLIVE/WAUKEE
ISSUES COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Clive,with an interest in changing the boundaries along Alice's Road and Douglas
Parkway,has approached Waukee to negotiate a settlement,which would benefit both
communities;AND,
WHEREAS,to work through this issue in a more effective marmer,a smaller group whose
members will be from Clive and from Waukee will discuss and,perhaps,reach a tentative
agreement;AND,
WHEREAS,Council members JeffV.Meltz,Darlene Stanton and Nick Gruber,as alternate,
volunteered to be the representatives to the meetings with the Clive representatives during the
September 21,2005 Workshop Meeting.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
3rd day of October 2005 that it hereby approves JeffV.Meltz and Darlene Stanton as regular
delegates and Nick Gruber as all alternate delegate to the negotiation meetings with the City of
Clive.
