RESOLUTION 05-200 "I
SUPPORTING THE GRANGER GAS MAIN EXTENSION PROJECT
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee has inquired about available capacity to meet its
growing needs,the deliveries are constrained by the branchline and capacity is not
available without significant construction;AND,
WHEREAS,it is the City's objective to provide the most economical way to serve the
growing community,AND,
WHEREAS,the project would consist of a new feedermain from the Des Moines
branchline to the east side of Waukee providing an additional delivery point with 14.56
miles of 6 inch pipeline estimated at a cost of3.93 million and a daily capacity of I 0,105
MMBtu and a delivery pressure of 125 psig,AND,
WHEREAS,Granger Gas Main Project helps the City obtain reliable service and future
growth options as well as long-term service reliability in the area enhanced,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa that the Granger Gas Main Extension Project be approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 17th day of
October 2005.
