RESOLUTION 05-205
APPROVE THE PROPOSAL OF CH2M HILL TO PREPARE THE
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT DOCUMENT FOR THE ALICE'S
ROAD/I05TH ST.1-80 INTERCHANGE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT)has initiated an agreement
with the Cities of West Des Moines and Waukee,which will provide for the orderly
completion of the project to build an 1-80 interchange at lOSth/Alice's Road;AND,
WHEREAS,an enviromnental assessment document is required by law to be completed
by the Cities of West Des Moines and Waukee and approved by the IDOT and Federal
Highway Administration (FHW A)in order to proceed with the construction ofthe
interchange;AND,
WHEREAS,the engineering firrn ofCH2M Hill has submitted a budget and scope of
services proposal that meets the approval of staff of both the Cities of West Des Moines
and Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7th day of November 2005 that it hereby approves the proposal of CH2M Hill
to prepare the Environmental Assessment document for the Alice's Road/IOSth S1.1-80
Interchange.
