RESOLUTION 05-209
APPROVING THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA FOR THE
"WAUKEE TREE ANGLE"TEMPORARY SCULPTURE PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING THE PROJECT TO BE COVERED UNDER THE CITY'S LIABILITY
INSURANCE POLICY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORJTY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Steve Gerberich is an installation artist and native of Waukee,Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,Mr.Gerberich has requested that he be allowed to install a large,temporary
sculpture entitled "Waukee Tree Angle"at Triangle Park for the Thanksgiving and Christmas
holiday season;AND,
WHEREAS,the City ofWankee fully supports the project as a positive,if temporary,addition
to the community that will bring residents and visitors to the Triangle area and help promote both
the community and the arts;AND,
WHEREAS,the City ofWankee agrees to include the project in the City's liability insurance,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
14'h day of November 2005 that it hereby supports the "Waukee Tree Angle"temporary
sculpture proj ect and agrees to cover the proj ect under the City's liability insurance policy.
