HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-12-05-Resolutions 05-223_710 Southfork Dr - - Driveway Paving - AppealTHE CITY OF WAUKEE,lOW A RESOLUTION 05-223 APPROVING AN APPEAL OF RICK AND MARCIA WANAMAKER,710 SOUTHFORI( DlUVE,FROM THE PROVISIONS OF WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 301.27(C)(1) AND 304.5(G)(1),REQUIRING ALL DRIVEWAYS BE PAVED WITH PORTLAND CONCRETE WITH A MINIMUM THICKNESS OF FIVE INCHES OR ASPHALTIC CONCRETE WITH A MINIMUM THICKNESS OF FIVE AND ONE-HALF INCHES IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,lOW A WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal Organization;AND, WHEREAS,Rick and Marcia Wanamaker are constructing a single family home at 710 Southfork Drive and wish to pave the driveway with concrete paver bricks;AND, WHEREAS,in order to proceed with a concrete brick paver driveway,the Wanamakers must be granted an appeal from the provisions of Waukee Municipal Code Sections 301.27(C)(1)and 304.5(G)(I),which prohibits the use of any materials in a driveway other than Portland concrete with a minimum thickness of five inches,or asphaltic concrete with a minimum thickness of five and one-half inches;AND, WHEREAS,any portion of the driveway to be placed in the public right-of-way is to be constructed to Waukee city standards,which is a minimum of six inch PCC; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa that the appeal of Rick and Marcia Wanamaker,710 Southfork Drive,from the provisions of Waukee Municipal Code Sections 301.27(C)(I)and 304.5(G)(l)be approved. Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 5th day of December 2005.
