RESOLUTION 05-76
APPROVING TRENCHER TRADE WITH
MIDWEST UNDERGROUND SUPPLY,L.L.C.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the trencher,included in the gas budget,is traded in every three years so
that the machine is always under factory warranty;AND,
WHEREAS,three bids for replacement of the Case 560 Trencher were received and are
with trade-in as follows:
1)Midwest Underground Supply,L.L.c.
2)Vermeer Sales &Service
3)Ditch Witch -Iowa,Inc.
Ditch Witch -Iowa,Inc.(alternate bid)
$29,900.00
$50,000.00
$64,300.00
$67,300.00;AND,
WHEREAS,Public Works Director John Gibson recommends Midwest Underground
Supply,L.L.C.,the low bidder and a Case dealer,for the trencher trade.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this Ioth day of May 2005 that it hereby approves the trencher trade with
Midwest Underground Supply,L.L.c.for a cash investment of$29,900.00.
