RESOLUTION 05-79
APPROVING THE CITY OF WAUKEE
SIDEWALK ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SAP)
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on March 14,2005,the City of Waukee City Council approved the
Sidewalk Improvement Program;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Council felt that there should be some type of "assistance"
program in place for property owners who are financially unable to comply with the
request to install sidewalks;AND,
WHEREAS,the purpose of the City of Waukee Sidewalk Assistance Program (SAP)is
to assist single-family property owners with the initial financial cost of installation of the
required public sidewalk;AND,
1vVHEREAS,to be eligible for SAP,property owners must meet all of the following
requirements:I)Proof of home ownership of the applicant must be provided,2)Property
taxes must be current and paid-to-date,3)Income limit of the household must fall below
the 2005 SAP Income Limits,AND,
WHEREAS,those limits as modified by the Council are based on a formula where the
eligibility for assistance is based on an Adjusted Annual Income where the Household
Sizes and Adjusted Annual Income Levels are:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa that the City of Waukee Sidewalk Assistance Program (SAP)as amended be
approved.I
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 16th day of
May 2005.
