RESOLUTION 05-94
APPROVING AND UPHOLDING THE REQUIREMENT THAT PROPERTY OWNERS
WHOSE NAMES AND ADDRESSES ARE INCLUDED ON THE SCHEDULE
ATTACHED HERETO ARE HEREBY DIRECTED TO REPAIR OR INSTALL
SIDEWALKS AS INDICATED IN THE MAILING SENT TO SAID PROPERTY
OWNERS BY THE CITY OF WAUKEE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,The City ofWaulcee City Council amended its sidewalk installation and
repair ordinance on February 28,2005 to require repair of deficient sidewalks and
installation of sidewalks where none exist in accordance with City's Sidewallc
Improvement Program;AND,
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee Public Works Department has established deficiency
criteria to determine which existing sidewalks are in need of repair;AND,
WHEREAS,property owners whose sidewalks have been determined to be deficient
have been notified of such deficiency by mail;AND,
WHEREAS,property owners who are required to install sidewallcs where none exist
have also been notified of such requirement by mail.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 6th day of June 2005 that it hereby directs that property owners whose names
and addresses are included on the schedule attached hereto are hereby directed to repair
or install sidewalks as indicated in the mailing sent to said property owners by the City of
Waukee Public Works Department.
