RESOLUTION 06-129
APPROVAL OF THE 28E AGREEMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTING AND EMERGENCY
MEDICAL SERVICES BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF W AUKEE,IOWA AND
BOONE TOWNSIDP,DALLAS COUNTY,IOWA BEGINNING IN FISCAL YEAR
JULY 1,2006
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee and Boone Township signed a 28E Agreement in force from
July I,2005 through June 30,2006 to formalize the provision of fire fighting and first responder
services being provided by the City of Waukee to residents living in Boone Township except
those residents living in Sections I through 30.AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee and Boone Township wish to formally renew the agreement as
revised for Waukee to provide fire fighting and emergency medical services to Boone Township;
AND,
WHEREAS,since both parties find this agreement mutually beneficial,City staff recommends
approving the 28E Agreement,including a provision that automatically terminates the
agreement,without notice,on the last date of the fiscal year preceeding the fiscal year for which
payments due under the formula for the 200712008 fiscal year shall be less than $5,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
19th day of June 2006 that it hereby approves the 28E Agreement for Fire Fighting and
Emergency Medical Services by and between the City of Waukee,Iowa and Boone Township,
Dallas County,Iowa beginning in fiscal year July I,2006,provided the City Attorney reviews
and approved the agreement.
