RESOLUTION 05-128
APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR WILLIAMS POINTE PLAT 9
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on July 12,2005,the City of Waukee Planning and Zoning Connnission approved
the Preliminary Plat for Williams Pointe Plat 9,with no access off University Ave.,and with one
full access off Alice's Road in aligmnent with the Gilcrest Jewett entrance to the west;AND,
WHEREAS,the Preliminary Plat for Williams Pointe Plat 9 is in general conformance with
section §303 -Land Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code;and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
that the Preliminary Plat for Williams Pointe Plat 9 be approved with the following amendments:
The City permits a right in and a right out at the private street entrance into the
development when traveling west on University Ave.AND a left in at the same private street
when traveling east on University Ave.The left in from University Ave.on the private street
will be closed when the act of turning or attempting to tum creates a hazard for other drivers
either eastbound or westbound.The cost of closing this turning lane will be borne by the
developer.
The City permits construction of a deceleration lane from Alice's Road leading to the
entrance from Alice's Road to Olson Drive.The deceleration lane will be constructed twice,
now and in the future when Alice's Road is widened to a four lane road.William's Turf Farm,
Inc.will be responsible for constructing the two lane deceleration lane and the four lane
deceleration lane.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 18th day of July 2005.
