PRELIMINARY RESOLUTION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS TO BE
PAID BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee has determined that a public improvement project should be
undertaken in accordance with the 2005 sidewalk improvement program;
WHEREAS,sidewalk installation remains to be undertaken at the following properties:
1.130 3,-dStreet
2.140 3rd Street
3.80 Ashland Court
4.185 Ashland Court
5.85 Bel Aire Drive
6.170 Bel Aire Drive
7.130 Bel Aire Drive
8.Hickory Hills
9_336 Ten-ace Drive
10.30 Windfield Parkway
11.60 Windfield Parkway
12.250 Windfield Parkway
13.14675 University Avenue
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee,in accordance Iowa Code Section 384.42
(2006),desires to pass a preliminary resolution;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that:
1.Under the 2005 sidewalk improvement program sidewalks are to be installed and to be
paid in whole by the benefited properties on which the sidewalk will be installed in
accordance with Section 218.4 of the Waukee Municipal Code (2006);
2.The sidewalks shall be installed in accordance with Section 218.4 of the Waukee
Municipal Code (2006)on the following properties:
a.130 3rd Street
b.140 3rd Street
c.80 Ashland Court
d.185 Ashland Court
e.85 Bel Aire Drive
f.170 Bel Aire Drive
g.130 Bel Aire Drive
h.Hickory Hills
I.336 Ten-ace Drive
J.30 Windfield Parkway
k.60 Windfield Parkway
1.250 Windfield Parkway
m.14675 University Avenue
3.That said properties will be specially benefited by the improvements;
4.That the City Engineer,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.shall commence to prepare preliminary
plans and specifications,estimated total cost of the work,and a plat and schedule which
shall be filed with the City Clerk
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 24th day of
July 2006.
