RESOLUTION 05-131
APPROVING THE SETTING OF AUGUST 15,2005 AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON AN 80/2U ANNEXATION WITH CONSIDERATION OF THE
ANNEXATION TAKING PLACE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PUBLIC HEARING
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,staff has proposed a voluntary annexation of certain property as well as the
annexation of non-consenting property located near R-22 and Ashworth Road;AND,
WHEREAS,The Consultation meeting for this 80/20 Annexation OCCUlTedper Section
368.7(1)(b)of the Iowa Code on May 25,2005;AND,
WHEREAS,per Section 368.7(1)(d)we are setting the date for a public hearing to be held on
the fifteenth (15th)day of August 2005;AND,
WHEREAS,notification of the public hearing will include the following Notice of Public
Hearing:
BE IT,THEREFORE,RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
that a public hearing on the application for voluntary annexation,which includes property
without the consent of the owner to avoid creating an island or to create more uniform
boundaries shall be considered by the City Council of the City of Waukee on the 15th day of
August,2005,at seven o'clock,p.m,at City Hall in the City of Waukee.Notice shall be sent out
in accordance with Chapter 368,Code ofIowa (2005)in the form set forth below,

Notice is hereby given that the following owners,whose properties comprise a total of
approximately 304.2 acres,have filed a voluntary annexation petition with the City of Waukee:

The Northeast Quarter (NEl/4)of the Southeast Quarter (SEl/4),
EXCEPT Sugar Grove Heights Plats 1 and 2;and the Southeast

25th day of July 2005 that it hereby approves setting August 15,2005 as the date for a Public
Hearing on the 80120 Annexation identified in the Notice of Public Hearing.
