RESOLUTION 06-160
APPROVAL OF THE APPOINTMENT OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK,
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT,DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS AS REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE CITY OF
WAUKEE,IOWA,FOR CERTAIN MATTERS REGARDING ANNEXATION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,from time to time and as warranted,it is in the best interest of the City of Waukee
to annex certain adjacent territory into the City;AND,
WHEREAS,Iowa State Code requires that representatives of the city hold consultations with
any and all county boards of supervisors and township trustees that contain all or a portion of the
territory to be annexed;AND,
WHEREAS,in order to expedite the annexation process,the City Council ofthe City of
Waukee desires to designate certain City staff members to act on their behalf and in the best
interest of the city during consultations with the boards of supervisors and township trustees;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa in
session this 9th day of August 2006,that the appointment of the City Administrator/Clerk,
Director of Community Development,Director of Planning and Director of Public Works as
representatives for the City of Waukee,Iowa,for certain matters regarding annexation is
approved.
