RESOLUTION 06-169
APPROVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN UPDATE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a dilly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City's Comprehensive Plan was first created in 2001 in order to provide
valuable guidance and vision to the City in planning for future growth and development;
AND,
WHEREAS,the unprecedented growth that Waukee has experienced in the last five
years has made necessary a thorough update ofthe Comprehensive Plan regarding future
development over the next five years,while also looking at long term goals for the next
ten to fifteen years;AND,
WHEREAS,a request for proposals to update the Comprehensive Plan was reviewed
and approved by the Planning &Zoning Commission on August 8,2006.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this the 21 st day of August 2006 that it hereby approves the request for proposals
to update the Comprehensive Plan.
