APPROVAL OF A WARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN UPDATE PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State oflowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City's Comprehensive Plan was first adopted in 2001 in order to provide
valuable guidance and vision to the City in planning for future growth and development;
AND,
WHEREAS,on August 21,2006,the Waukee City Council approved a request for proposals
to update the Comprehensive Plan;AND,
WHEREAS,the City has received and reviewed the proposals received for the update to the
Comprehensive Plan and recommends the contract submitted by Gould Evans Associates be
accepted;AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 16th day of October 2006 that the bid submitted by Gould Evans Associates to update the
City of Waukee Comprehensive Plan,in the amount of$93,970,with a contract to complete
the work within 9 months with City Council approval of an extension to 12 months if deemed
necessary,is hereby accepted and approved.
