RESOLUTION 06-13
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST FROM DR.ROVNER AND CENTRAL
IOWA ORTHODONTICS FOR AN EXEMPTION TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE
ALLOWING FOR A SECOND MONUMENT SIGN ON A COMMERCIAL LOT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Central Iowa Orthodontics,550 SE University,Waukee,is requesting approval for
an exemption to the current Monument Sign Ordinance §305AH3 to allow for a second
monument sing on a commercial lot;AND,
WHEREAS,the lot described above has an existing subdivision entrance monument sign,AND,
WHEREAS,in order to proceed with construction of a monument sign for his orthodontic
building,Dr.Rovner with Central Iowa Orthodontics must be granted an exemption from the
provisions of Waukee Municipal Code Section 305AH3,which allows for only one freestanding
monument sign for each lot or one sign for each three hundred (300)feet of street,whichever is
greater.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
9th day of January 2006 that it hereby approves the request by Dr.Rovner of Central Iowa
Orthodontics an exemption from §305 AH3 of the Waukee Municipal Code to allow for a second
monument on a commercial lot.
