RESOLUTION 06-11
APPROVING THE BASE PAY RATE FOR BRAD DEETS WHO HAS ACCEPTED THE
POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF PLANNING FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Brad Deets comes to the City of Waukee with valuable education and experience
in the area of planning and development;AND,
WHEREAS,Brad Deets will begin his employment with the City of Waukee on January 30,
2006 with a base rate of pay at $64,810,AND,
WHEREAS,the position Director of Planning is a Range 60 on the City of Waukee Wage Scale
with the median range pay at $64,810,AND,
WHEREAS,on July 1,2006,Brad Deets pay rate will increase to $67,079 to remain within the
median range for the Range 60 pay scale for the fiscal year 2007;AND,
WHEREAS,Brad Deets will receive two weeks of vacation effective the first day of his
employment for the first year,all other benefits will be the same as stated in the employee
handbook and may be changed at any time at the sole discretion of the City CounciL
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
9th day of January 2006 that it hereby approves the base pay rate of $64,810 effective January 30,
2006 and increase to $67,079 beginning July 1,2006 for Brad Deets who has accepted the
position of Director of Planning for the Cily of Waukee ;tjE
