RESOLUTION 06-17
APPROVING THE CITY OF WAUKEE TO WITHDRAW AND TERMINATE ITS
ASSOCIATION WITH THE PROPOSED WESTMETRO REGIONAL AIRPORT PLAN
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,on March 4,2002 the City of Waukee by Resolution #02-38 entered into a 28E
Agreement with Dallas County to provide a representative for the Oversight Committee and
which the committee approved the Airport Master Plan;AND,
WHEREAS,on July 27,2004,the City of Waukee by resolution #04-175 approved the Airport
Master Plan which designated Dallas County Iowa represented by the Dallas County Board of
Supervisors as sponsoring Entity of the proposed West Regional Airport,AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee after further consideration has determined to withdraw and
terminate its association with the proposed West Metro Regional Airport as of the date of this
Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby withdraws and terminates its association with the proposed West Metro Regional
Airport in all respects,including and not limited to the termination of the 28E Agreement entered
by Waukee on March 4,2002 Resolution #02-38.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 25TH day ofJanuary
2006.
