RESOLUTION 06-22
APPROVING VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.PROPOSAL FOR PROVIDING
PROFESSIONAL ENGIEERING SERVICES FOR THE SOUTH AREA PUMP
STATION AND TRUNK SEWER
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is considering construction of a 1.4 mgd pump station,trunk
sewer east of R-22 roadway,and force main to serve an area tributary to Sugar Creek near the
Painted Woods Development;AND,
WHEREAS,the City desires to proceed with the design and preparation of the plans and
specifications,and establish connection fee district to determine the cost ofthe Project to owners
of properties in the service area,AND,
WHEREAS,certain property owners have voluntarily agreed to pay for a portion of the
improvements through a Petition,Contract and Waiver Agreement;AND,
WHEREAS,the City desires to retain the Engineers to provide engineering design and
construction services on the Project;AND,
WHEREAS,the City desires to proceed with the design,and anticipates construction of the
Project beginning July of 2006.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council approves
Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.to provide professional engineering services for the South Area Pump
Station and Trunk Sewer.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 6th day of February
2006.
