RESOLUTION 06-34
AUTHORIZING THE USE OF CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING NECESSARY PROPERTY INTERESTS FOR THE
UNIVERSITY AVENUE WIDENING PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City is desirous of widening University Avenue within the City limits of the
City of Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,there are certain procedures that must be followed for the purpose of acquiring
property,if necessary,through condemnation proceedings in order to widen University Avenue
within the City limits of the City of Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,it is in the best interest of the City that as a part of this widening project that the
City Attorney assist in the preparation and delivery of any notices required by law relative to the
condemnation of property for the consideration of the University Avenue widening project by
City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council on this 6th day
of March 2006 that the City Attorney is authorized to take any and all actions necessary for the
purpose of undertaking condemnation actions to acquire property for the purpose of widening
University Avenue within the City limits of the City ofWau 'ee.
