RESOLUTION 06-39
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A USED 1997 INTERNATIONAL NA VISTAR 4700
SERIES DUMP TRUCK WITH SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT FROM THE CITY OF
CLIVE FOR $32,000.00
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Clive is preparing to purchase a new dump huck to replace their current
1997 International Navistar 4700 Series dump truck;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Clive agrees to sell their existing dump huck to the City of Waukee for the
price of$32,000,OO;AND,
WHEREAS,the purchase price includes the following additional snow removal equipment:
I)12'reversible Henke 845 with in-cab controls
2)fixed mount underbody scraper 10'with in-cab controls,
3)6 cubic yard Heil Spread and Dump,
4)Gresen GRS31 ground speed spreader controls,
5)I OO-gallon liquid pre-wet system,
6)automatic tire chains,and
7)amber top light with box strobes;AND,
WHEREAS,Public Works Department is in need of an additional dump huck and Public Works
staff recommends the purchase of this truck,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 20th
day of March 2006 that it hereby approves the purchase of a used 1997 International Navistar 4700
Series dump truck with snow removal equipment from the 'ty of Clive for ~of $32,000.00.
