RESOLUTION 06-55 I
APPROVAL OF THE NORTHERN NATURAL GASINORTHERN LIGHTS
EXPANSION AGREEMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,as Waukee is a thriving and rapidly growing community,the City seeks to
ensure its future natural gas utility capacity;AND,
WHEREAS,the City plans to participate in the construction of a natural gas main from
Waukee to Granger,Iowa,in order to access additional natural gas capacity provided by
Northern Natural Gas Company;AND,
WHEREAS,by entering into a Precedent Agreement with Northern Natural Gas
Company,the City of Waukee commits its interest in using,on a film basis,the proposed
expansion capacity so that Northern Natural Gas Company may apply for the necessary
regulatory approvals and authorizations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Waukee,Iowa in
session this 3'd day of April 2006,does hereby approve the Northern Natural
GaslNorthem Lights Expansion Agreement.
