RESOLUTION 06-64
APPROVING SETTING MAY 15,2006 AS THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF THE SEWER TREATMENT CONNECTION FEE DISTRICT,PURSUANT
TO SECTION 384.38 OF THE CODE OF IOWA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has expanded its Sewer Treatment plant and entered
acquired additional treatment capacity through its participation and acquisitions in the
WRA in order to meet the increasing sewer treatment capacity requirements resulting
from development and growth;AND,
WHEREAS,the increased sewer treatment capacity will benefits all real property within
the incorporated boundaries of the City of Waukee as of January 1,2006 and all real
property in the unincorporated areas lying within two miles of said boundaries;AND,
WHEREAS,it is part of the procedure to set a date for a public hearing for this proposed
ordinance and to provide interested citizens the right to participate and to comment,pro
or con,for the establishment of the Sewer Treatment Connection Fee District.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 17th day of April 2006 that it hereby approves setting May 15,2006 as the
date for a public hearing on an ordinance to provide for the establishment of the Sewer
Treatment Connection Fee District"pursuant to Section 38438 of the Code of Iowa,
