RESOLUTION 06-72 I
APPROVAL OF A PURCHASE AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $0.00 FOR
THE UNIVERSITY A VENUE WIDENING PROJECT,NO.STP-U-8177(60S)-70-2S,
FOR PROPERTY OWNED BY RICHARD W.AND CAROLYN GILES,LINDA M.
AND DALLAS HAKEMAN,AND MARLENE M.AND DAN WARREN
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm has determined that certain property must be obtained for
the purpose of right-of-way by the City of Waukee for the construction of the University
Avenue Widening Project,No.STP-U-8177(605)-70-25;AND,
WHEREAS,said property is currently owned by Richard W.and Carolyn A.Giles as
Trustees of the Richard W.Giles Revocable Trust,Linda M.and Dallas Hakeman,and
Marlene M.and Dan Warren (the "Seller"),and is legally described as follows:
A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN GOVERNMENT LOT 2 (G.L.2),SECTION 4,
TOWNSHIP 78 NORTH,RANGE 25 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M.,COUNTY OF
DALLAS,STATE OF IOWA;AND,
WHEREAS,the Seller agrees to donate said property to the City of Waukee for the purpose
of right-of-way.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this lih day of April 2006 that it hereby approves the Purchase Agreement in the amount of
$0.00 for property owned by Richard W.and Carolyn Giles,Linda M.and Dallas Hakeman,
and Marlene M.and Dan Warren.
