RESOLUTION 06-89 I
APPROVING THE MOSQUITO CONTROL PROPOSAL FROM WILSON BROS.PEST
CONTROL IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,200 FOR THE FffiST TEN APPICATIONS AND
$800.00 PER APPLICATION THEREAFTER
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has implemented a Pest Management Program to control
mosquito infestation;AND,
WHEREAS,Wilson Bros.Pest Control presented a proposal for providing mosquito control for
the summer of2006;AND,
WHEREAS,Wilson Bros.Pest Control will provide the following services:
a)Mosquito Control
I.Adulticide -10 applications (only Thursday or Friday night unless permission is
granted by the City)
II.Larvacide -3 applications (May 20,July I and August 15)
III.Barrier and Perimeter Contro1-All City-sponsored events,including RAGBRAI
(July 24 evening)
b)Treatments to the entire City
c)Report insect ID and population of mosquitoes to City on a regular basis
d)Recommend control measures for standing water
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa in
session this 1st of May 2006 that it hereby approves the proposal by Wilson Bros.Pest Control in
the amount of $8,200 for the first ten applications and $800.00 per application t reafter.
