)RESOLUTION 06-95
APPROVING THE ASHWORTH DRIVE OVERLAY AGREEMENT FROM 2ND
TO 10TH STREET WITH VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Ashworth Drive Asphalt Overlay is for the construction of a 2"asphalt
overlay on Ashworth Drive from 2nd to loth street;AND,
WHEREAS,the City will raise manhole castings and intakes as required with a
minimum 1%crown from the center of the roadway,which may require a 2"to 2-1/2"
thick overlay at the centerline of the pavement;AND,
WHEREAS,in addition to the need for the overlay of Ashworth Drive,the City of
Waukee City Council would like to provide a safe roadway for the over 10,000 cyclists
traveling along Ashworth Drive as a result of the July 25,2006 RAGBRAl event,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this is"day of May 2006 that it hereby approves the Ashworth Drive Overlay
Agreement from 2nd to 10th Street with Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.
