RESOLUTION 06-108
APPROVAL OF BRICK GENTRY LAW FIRM AS CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE
CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,FROM JULY 1,2006 THROUGH DECEMBER 31,
2007
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa,is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council must appoint the position of City Attorney
annually;AND,
WHEREAS,the law firrn of Brick,Gentry,Bowers,Swartz,Stoltze,Schuling &Levis,
P.c.,hereinafter known as Brick Gentry Law Firm,was appointed as City Attorney by
the City Council on June 6,2005 for fiscal year 2006;AND,
WHEREAS,the Brick Gentry Law Film has thus far proven to be an excellent partner
with and resource for the City of Waukee in all necessary aspects of the legal system;
AND,
WHEREAS,it is in the best interest of the City to appoint the position of City Attorney
each and every calendar year instead of fiscal year,as are all other appointed positions.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this the s"day of June 2006 that the appointment of Brick Gentry Law Firm as
City Attorney from July 1,2006 through December 31,2007 is hereby approved.
