RESOLUTION 06-120
APPROVING FREE GREENS FEES AT SUGAR CREEK MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE
FOR FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME CITY EMPLOYEES AND BOARD MEMBERS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Park Board reviewed the policies regarding employee discounts at municipal
golf courses within other communities in Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,the Park Board discussed and recommends the City Council approve a 50%
discount on greens fees only for full-time and part-time City employees,board members and
elected officials,with all other fees remaining at full price;AND,
WHEREAS,in the event that the golf course is busy and there are paying customers waiting to
play golf,the employee must wait for the paying customer to go first and the employee will be
able to golf once a tee time becomes available;AND,
WHEREAS,during the June 5,2006 regular meeting,the City Council discussed free,not
discounted,greens fees for full-time and part-time employees,with no such waiver of fees for
elected officials.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 5th day of June 2006 that free greens fees for full-time and part-time City employees and
board members be approved.
