RESOLUTION 10-15
APPROVING A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION FOR DAN GARDINER
FOR HIS 13 YEARS OF SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE PARK BOARD
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Dan Gardiner was appointed to the Park Board in March 1997;AND,
WHEREAS,after almost 13 years of exemplary service,Dan has chosen to step down from the
Park Board;AND,
WHEREAS,as Waukee has grown over the years,so has the demand for parks,trails,open
space,recreation programs and community festivals;AND,
WHEREAS,Dan's commitment and leadership as a Park Board member have greatly
contributed to Waukee's hard-earned and well-deserved reputation as a community that responds
to the recreational needs of citizen and visitor alike;AND,
WHEREAS,as Waukee's park and recreation system continues to grow and thrive,it will do so
on a foundation strengthened by the hard work and dedication of Park Board members like Dan,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
18th day of January 2010 that it hereby recognizes Dan Gardiner for his impressive 13 years of
service to the City of Waukee as a Park Board member and expresses its sincere appreciation for
his work toward the positive growth of the community.
