RESOLUTION 10-25
APPROVING THE SETTING OF MARCH 2,2010 AS THE DATE OF PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE ANNEXATION OF CONSENTING PROPERTIES BY THE CITY
OF WAUKEE,IOWA,WITH CONSIDERATION OF THE ANNEXATION TAKING
PLACE IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff has received applications for voluntary annexation of certain properties;
AND,
WHEREAS,a consultation meeting regarding annexation was held on January 13,2010
between and among the City of Waukee,Dallas County Board of Supervisors,and Walnut
Township Trustees pursuant to Section 368.7(l)(b)ofthe Code ofIowa;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 368.7(1)(d)of the Code ofIowa,the City shall provide for a
public hearing on annexation prior to approval or denial;AND,
WHEREAS,notification of the public hearing shall include the following Notice of Public
Hearing:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING APPLICATIONS FOR VOLUNTARY
ANNEXATION INTO THE CITY OF WAUKEE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing on three (3)separate Applications for
Voluntary Annexation into the City of Waukee.The public hearing has been set for 4:30 p.m.on
Tuesday,March 2,2010 and shall be held at the City of Waukee Council Chambers located at
Waukee City Hall,230 W.Hickman Road,Waukee,Iowa.After the public hearing the Waukee
City Council will take action conceming the annexation,
The three (3)separate Applications for Voluntary Annexation are available for viewing at the
Clerk's Office at the Waukee City Hall located at 230 W.Hickman Road in the City of Waukee,
Iowa.Published with this Notice is the legal description and map of the territory which the
Waukee City Council will consider annexing at the public hearing referenced above.
Legal Description:
The South half of the SE Quarter of the SE Quarter of Section 32,Township 79,Range 26,
Walnut Township,Dallas County,Iowa,(Parcel #1232400004)and the north half of the adjacent
street right of way (300tl1 Street);AND
The SW Quarter of the SE Quarter of Section 32,Township 79,Range 26,Walnut Township,
Dallas County,Iowa (Parcel #1232400003)and the north half of the adjacent street right of way
(300th Street);AND
The SE Quarter of the SW Quarter of Section 32,Township 79,Range 26,Walnut Township,
Dallas County,Iowa (Parcel #1232300004)and the north half of the adjacent street right of way
(300th Street);AND
The SW Quarter of the SW Quarter of Section 32,Township 79,Range 26,Walnut Township,
Dallas County,Iowa (Parcel #1232300003)and the north half of the adjacent street right of way
(300th Street)and the east half of the adjacent street right of way (T Avenue);AND
The SE Quarter of the SE Quarter of Section 31,Township 79,Range 26,Walnut Township,
Dallas County,Iowa,EXCEPT Parcel A (Parcel #1231400008)and the north half of the adjacent
street right of way (300th Street)and the west half of the adjacent street right of way (T Avenue);
AND
The East 57 acres of the North half of the SE Quarter of Section31,Township 79,range 26,
Walnut Township,Dallas County,Iowa (Parcel #1231400007)and the west half of the adjacent
street right of way (T Avenue).

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,in
session this 1st day of February,2010,that it hereby approves setting March 2,2010 as the date
for a Public Hearing on the Annexation identified in the Notice of Public Hearing,
