RESOLUTION 10-42
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF A SECONDARY ALTERNATE
MEMBER TO THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION (MPO)FOR THE YEAR 2010
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the
Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation
Technical Committee (MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,City staff request that a second alternate representative be appointed to the
MPO so that the City can maintain the authority to vote on MPO matters in the event the
primary and alternate representatives are unavailable;AND,
WHEREAS,for the remainder of calendar year 2010,Mayor William F.Peard has appointed
Council Member Mike Watts as the second altemate representative to the MPO.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 22ud day of February 2010,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointment to the Des
Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
