RESOLUTION 10-57
RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS,PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT,AND AN ESTIMATE OF
COSTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE WATER MAIN
EXTENSION PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE,AND TAKING BIDS
THEREFORE AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE CONCERNING THE SAME
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City contemplates the need for the extension of the University Avenue water
main;AND,
WHEREAS,competitive bids should be solicited for work necessary for this public
improvement project;AND,
WHEREAS,it is necessary for the City Council to set a public hearing date and provide for
notice of said public hearing on the plans and specifications,proposed form of contract,and
estimate of cost for construction of the University Avenue water main extension and the
taking of bids therefore.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City ofWaulcee City Council that a public
hearing on the plans and specifications,proposed form of contract,and estimate of cost for
construction of the University Avenue water main extension for the City of Waukee,Iowa,
and to act upon the bids and enter into a contract for such improvements is set for April 5,
2010 at 5:00 p.m.at City Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the attached notice
of hearing and notice of letting attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference
should be published at least once,not less than 4 and not more than 45 days before the date
for filing bids,in a newspaper published at least once weekly and having general circulation
in the geographical area served by the City of Waukee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that bids shall be
submitted in accordance with the notice of hearing and letting approved herein.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 8th day of
March,2010.
