RESOLUTION 10-71
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM HARDWARE
AND SOFTWARE FROM COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING COMPANY (CEC)
IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,908.62
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,at the direction ofthe City Council,staff has researched and contacted several
companies regarding an electronic voting system to be installed in the Council Chambers and
to be used by the City Council and citizen boards/committees/commissions;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommends that electronic voting system hardware and software be
purchased from Communications Engineering Company (CEC)in the amount of $8,908.62;
AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommends the funds be allocated from the FY20 I 0 Administration
Department Contingency account.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this nnd day of March 2010,that it hereby approves the purchase of electronic voting system
hardware and software from Communications Engineering Company (CEC)in the amount of
$8,908.62
