RESOLUTION 10-162
APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMITTEE TO BE KNOWN AS THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVIEW COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,it has been determined that a committee is necessary in order to periodically
review the Implementation Matrix within the City of Waukee Comprehensive Plan and to revise
and prioritize the goals within the Implementation Matrix;AND,
WHEREAS,the Comprehensive Plan Review Committee (the "Committee")shall be
established in order to fulfill this need;AND,
WHEREAS,the Committee shall remain in existence until such time that the Mayor,the
members of the Committee and/or a simple majority of the Council determine that the
Committee is no longer needed;AND,
WHEREAS,the Mayor shall appoint the Committee members,which shall consist of the
Mayor;three (3)members representing the City,one of whom shall be a Council Member;and
no more than six (6)citizen members;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee Director of Development Services shall attend meetings of the
Committee and shall act in the capacity of support staff for the committee;AND,
WHEREAS,the Committee shall meet as necessary and shall comply with all provisions of
Code ofIowa Chapter 21,Official Meetings Open to Public (Open Meetings)and Chapter 22,
Examination of Public Records (Open Records);
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 17th day of May 2010 that it hereby approves the establishment of a c mmittee to be
known as the Comprehensive Plan Review Committee.
