RESOLUTION 10-189
APPROVING THE DECLARATION OF AN EMBARGO ON CHERRY STREET
FROM 6TH STREET TO 8TH STREET
WHEREAS,on or about April S,2000,the City Council of the City of Waukee imposed
a weight embargo on vehicular traffic on Cherry Street from 6th Street to 8th Street as
specified in Resolution 00-42;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Council has determined that the weight embargo at that location is
no longer necessary as a result of the build out of the plat and the elimination of regular
truck traffic associated with the ongoing construction in the area that necessitated the
establislnnent of a truck route to protect the street at that location.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the weight embargo imposed on
Cherry Street from 6th Street to 8th Street as set forth in Resolution 00-42 passed April 3,
2000 should be and the same is hereby rescinded and repealed effective as ofthe date of
passage ofthis resolution.
