RESOLUTION 10-211
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF 2ND STREET BETWEEN PARKVIEW
DRIVE AND SOUTHVIEW DRIVE ON WEDNESDAY,AUGUST 11,2010,BETWEEN THE
HOURS OF 5:45 P.M.AND 9:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK
PARTY,WITH AN ALTERNATE DATE OF THURSDAY,AUGUST 12,2010 BETWEEN
THE HOURS OF 5:45 P.M.AND 9:00 P.M.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Michele Davis,1105 2nd Street,requests the temporary closure of 2nd Street between
Parkview Drive to Southview Drive for the purpose of a neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,the street will be closed on Wednesday,August 11,2010,between the hours of5:45 p.m.
and 9:00 p.m.;AND,
WHEREAS,should inclement weather cancel the proposed neighborhood block party on Wednesday,
August 11,the applicant requests approval for an alternate date of Thursday,August 12,2010 between
the hours of 5 :45 p.m.and 9:00 p.m.;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 19th
day of July,2010,that it hereby approves temporary closing of 2nd Street between Parkview Drive and
Southview Drive on Wednesday,August 11,2010,between the hours of 5:45 p.m.and 9:00 p.m.for
the purpose of a neighborhood block party,with an alternate ate of Thursday,August 12,2010
between the hours of 6:00 p.m.and 9:00 p.m.
