APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PAINTED WOODS DRIVE BETWEEN 355
PAINTED WOODS DRIVE AND 450 PAINTED WOODS DRIVE ON SATURDAY,AUGUST
28,2010,BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3:00 P.M.AND 10:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY,WITH AN ALTERNATE DATE OF SUNDAY,AUGUST
29,2010,BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3:00 P.M.AND 10:00 P.M.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Montse Madden,370 Painted Woods Drive,requests the temporary closure of Painted
Woods Drive from 355 Painted Woods Drive to 450 Painted Woods Drive for the purpose of a
neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,the street will be closed on Saturday,August 28,2010,between the hours of3:00 p.m.
and 10:00 p.m.;AND,
WHEREAS,should inclement weather cancel the proposed neighborhood block party on Saturday,
August 28,the applicant requests approval for an altemate date of Sunday,August 29,2010 between
the hours of3:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m.;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 19th
day of July,2010,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Painted Woods Drive between 355
Painted Woods Drive and 450 Painted Woods Drive on Saturday,August 28,2010,between the hours
of3:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m.for the purpose of a neighborhood block party,with an altemate date of
Sunday,August 29,2010 between the hours of3:00 p.m.a d 10:00 p.m.
