RESOLUTION 10-233
APPROVING FIREFIGHTER PAID ON-CALL PAY SCALE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas COlUIty,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fire Chief recommends the following pay scale for paid on-call
firefighters:
Overnight Down Time -Current Minimum Wage
All other Hours Base Pay $10.00
Additional Per Hour Certification Rates (Cumulative):
Firefighter I $0.25
Firefighter II $0.50
Driver Operator $0.25
Aerial Operator $0.25
HazMat Operations $0.25
Instructor I $0.25
Instructor II $0.25
Officer I $0.25
Officer II $0.25
Additional Years of Service Per Hour Rates (Cumulative):
(To be adjusted annually on July 1.)
5-9 years
10-14 years
15-19 years
20-24 years
25+years

$0.50
Additional Per Hour Certification Rates (Non-Cumulative):
EMT-B $1.00
EMT-I $1.50
EMT-PIPS $4.00
Assistant Fire Chief
Assistant EMS Chief
$250.00 per month
$250.00 per month;AND,
WHEREAS,the proposed pay scale shall be effective August 1,2010.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City ofWaulcee on tins,
the 9th day of August 2010,that the firefighter paid on-call pay scale is approved.
