RESOLUTION 10-242
APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMITTEE TO BE KNOWN AS THE
COPELAND RECREATION AND SPORTS COMPLEX STEERING COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State oflowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,it has been determined that a connnittee is necessary in order to work with the
architectural finn contracted by the City of Waukee for the Copeland Recreation and Sports Complex
on the design of Phase I improvements;AND,
WHEREAS,the Copeland Recreation and Sports Complex Steering Connnittee (the "Committee")
shall be established in order to fulfill this need;AND,
WHEREAS,the Connnittee shall remain in existence until such time as the Phase I improvements
design is completed and adopted by the City Council and/or a simple majority of the Council
determine that the Committee is no longer needed;AND,
WHEREAS,the Mayor shall appoint the Committee members,which shall consist of no more than
twenty (20)members;AND,
WHEREAS,the Connnittee shall meet as necessary and shall comply with all provisions of Code of
Iowa Chapter 21,Official Meetings Open to Public (Open Meetings)and Chapter 22,Examination of
Public Records (Open Records);
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on this
the 23rd day of August 2010 that it hereby approves the establishment of a connnittee to be known as
the Copeland Recreation and Sports Complex Steering Committee .
