RESOLUTION 10-245
APPROVING AN AIA STANDARD FORM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER
AND ARCIDTECT FOR A RESIDENTIAL OR SMALL COMMERCIAL PROJECT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF WAUKEE AND TWIN RIVERS ENGINEERING
CONSULTANTS RELATED TO WAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY HV AC
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Public Library has experienced extremely high utility costs as a
consequence of inefficient energy practices and building design;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommends contracting with Twin Rivers Engineering Consultants in
order to design mechanical and electrical retrofits to the Waukee Public Library HV AC system;
AND,
WHEREAS,Twin Rivers Engineering Consultants will also act as the City'S representative and
provide administration during the bid letting and construction phases of the project;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Attomey has reviewed the proposed agreement and finds it satisfactory.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
23,odday of August,2010,that it hereby accepts and approved the AlA Standard Form of
Agreement Between Owner and Architect for a Residential or Small Commercial Proj ect
between the City of Waukee and Twin Rivers Engineering Consultants related to Waukee Public
Library HV ACo
